It is very ...Yes Sam thank you for chiming in here. It is very hard to say where one will fall with regards to appreciation of this film. There are some who really like it and others that despise it. Certainly a critically divided film for sure. Hope you do check it out and let me know what you think.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10656287096270976604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5703076346434344743.post-86602993993017482642013-02-06T14:00:43.359-05:002013-02-06T14:00:43.359-05:00Jon, I am no big fan of Reichardt's work, but ...Jon, I am no big fan of Reichardt's work, but I did think her WENDY AND LUCY was a notable achievement. I did once hear her speak at the Angelika Film Center, and she's quite an intelligent and fascinating listen. As far as the recent spurt of minimalist cinema I've been about 50/50, so certainly I may like this particular film. You are not the only one who has praised it, and I do like the general idea here and have admired Bernal's past work. Hope to see it soon.

Once again you have penned an exceptional essay, this time in passionate defense.Sam Julianonoreply@blogger.com
